Maybe you come to Spin & Workout for the spin and boxfit or HIIT and Zumba, but whichever class is your favourite, did you know that yoga is the perfect companion?

The benefits of yoga are huge alone, but combined it can help you get the most out of your workouts from both a physical and mental perspective. ​

How can it help?

​Physically yoga helps to strengthen your body, both the superficial (think biceps) and the deep connective (ligaments, tendons) muscles and tissues making you overall stronger. We work with balance that also helps improve strength, as well as stillness and focus, great partners for your workouts.

You probably already know yoga helps with flexibility, but did you also know that in can increase your range of movement? Together this is really powerful, as it teaches our body to work into its wider range, creating a more supple and smarter body – great for now and future you.

There is more to yoga than the physical, and these other areas can be key to unlocking greater strength of mind and body. Connecting breath and movement makes us more mindful, creates awareness of our body’s abilities, and the power it can hold – ever heard of the saying “breathe through it” – this is key. And as an added benefit, learning to breathe efficiently and to a greater capacity, can increase the oxygen in your body and improve your performance, making exercise feel easier.

 

Together this mix can make you stronger, fitter, faster and more focused.
