We get it. Staying motivated to exercise can be really tough, especially when the days get shorter, the nights get colder, and your routine has taken a hit.
At Spin and Workout, we know this is the time of year when motivation can dip. Maybe you’ve been recovering from an injury, caught a nasty cold, or just enjoyed a much needed holiday. Suddenly, a few days off turn into weeks... and then months.
The good news? It’s never too late to start again. And we’re here to help.

Why Is It So Hard to Get Back Into It?
It’s completely normal to lose momentum. When routines shift and the weather changes, it affects energy levels, mood, and motivation. But even small steps can help you rebuild consistency and feel amazing again.
Here are some gentle tips and reminders to help you find your way back to class when you're feeling stuck:
1. You Always Feel Better After Class
It’s true, endorphins are powerful. That post-class buzz isn’t just in your head (well, technically it is, but in a good way!). Getting moving again helps lift your mood, clear your mind, and reset your energy.
2. Social Connection Is Everything
If you’ve been working from home or spending a lot of time alone, just getting out and chatting with fellow members or instructors can be a game changer. Community and connection are a huge part of mental wellness, and classes give you that boost in more ways than one.
3. Book Ahead to Stay Accountable
Going away soon? Book a class for the day after you return. Having it in the calendar makes it far more likely that you’ll follow through. It’s a little psychological trick that really works!
4. Bring a Friend Along
Everything’s better with a buddy. Book into the same class as a friend or invite someone new to join you. (Psst… don’t forget to use our Refer a Friend button on the website.) When someone else is counting on you, you're more likely to show up and have fun doing it.
5. Make Time for You
When life gets busy or stressful, your well-being often takes a back seat. But doing something just for you, even if it’s just a 45-minute class, can help reduce stress, improve sleep, and boost your energy for everything else on your plate.
You’re Not Starting From Scratch
Remember: taking a break doesn’t mean you’re starting over. Your body remembers what it can do, and so does your mind. The first step is often the hardest, but it gets easier (and more enjoyable!) from there.
We’re here for you, cheering you on every step of the way. Whether it’s been a week, a month, or a year, there’s a spot waiting for you in class.
You’ve got this. And we’ve got you.
See you soon,The Spin and Workout Team
